Dina Adkins Visited RTIC and RTV

May the 5th, 2009 was the historical day for RTIC when Dinah Adkins, the President and CEO of National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) visited RTIC. She was given a tour of the Incubator and briefed about the activities RTIC is carrying out to establish successful innovation-based startup companies. Dr. Mezyad Alterkawi also held meeting with Dinah Adkins and Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hargan of KACST to discuss the future of Incubation in the Kingdom. Dinah Adkins was pleased about the progress of RTIC and the professionalism of its team. She commented: “It has been great to visit and see the work here and the enthusiasm of the RTIC leadership, staff and clients. Congratulations on you efforts to lead the great nation of Saudi Arabia into the future and ensure its success in creating wealth based on knowledge employed for the good of Arabia and mankind”.

The Workshop 2009 was a day of lively discussion on RTIC in the Kingdom. Ten experienced members spoke on specific topics regarding the concept of technology incubators. The session ended with closing remarks on the future of collaboration and expecting the innovative ideas from KSU’s faculty, students and potential innovators with the submission of business plan to furnish their innovative ideas for real time implementation in the region.
The program began with an introduction about the workshop from Dr. Mezyad Alterkawi. Later on in his presentation, he focused on the information about the Technology Incubators and his vision to promote RTIC, and talked about facilities being provided by RTIC to its clients. Dr. Mezyad focused on recent trends and issues affecting today’s technology incubators."
