On Wednesday we hosted a delegation visit from King Saud University (KSU) of Saudi Arabia, for the signing ceremony of an agreement between KSU and The University of Nottingham.
This agreement marks the beginning of a partnership with KSU as Nottingham's key partner institution in Saudi Arabia, which will facilitate multi-million pound joint research projects between the two universities.
The visiting delegation included Dr Badran Alomar (Rector of King Saud University), Dr Mezyad Alterkawi (Director of International Cooperation at King Saud University), Dr Faisal Abaalkhail (Cultural Attaché of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia Cultural Bureau), and Mr Charlie Walker (Director of the British Council in Saudi Arabia).
The delegation was hosted at The University of Nottingham by Professor Sir David Greenaway (Vice-Chancellor), Professor Farouk Shakib (Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Middle East and Africa), Mr Nduka Amadi (International Relations Officer for Africa and the Middle East), and Helen Rylands (International Sponsors and Scholarships Manager).
